Terms of service
Last updated: 19 October 2026
These terms apply to the VigilSpan browser security service, including the browser extension, the customer dashboard and related services (the "Service"). They apply unless you have signed a separate agreement with us, in which case that agreement governs.
1. Accounts
The Service is provided to organisations. The person who sets up an organisation confirms they are authorised to accept these terms for it. You are responsible for your administrators' accounts, for keeping your organisation's recovery code safe (we cannot recover your encryption keys), and for activity under your organisation.
2. Deploying the extension
You may install the extension only on devices and browsers you manage or are authorised to manage. You are responsible for informing your users as required by law and your own policies, especially if you enable browsing-history collection, AI analysis or third-party reputation look-ups.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to monitor people unlawfully, attack or probe the Service or others, reverse-engineer it except where the law allows, or resell it without our written permission.
4. Pilots
Pilot and evaluation access is provided as it is, may be time-limited, and may change or end with reasonable notice.
5. Data
Your organisation's data remains yours. We process it as described in our privacy policy and any data processing agreement between us.
6. No guarantee of detection
No security product stops every attack. The Service reduces risk; it does not replace your other security controls, training or incident response.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these terms and will give notice of material changes. Either party may stop using or providing the Service under the notice terms of your agreement. On termination we delete your organisation's data as described in the privacy policy.
